This past Sunday, Andre and I went to the "Belk Engagement Party," which was just a small registry event. We went in, created a registry, scanned some things, and ate some hors d'oeuvres.
It wasn't a fun process, but it could have been. The service we received was far less than mediocre, while other couples around us were receiving great service. We'd already decided to use Target for our main registry, but we attended the event just in case there was anything really great going on.
The best news is we received a goody bag with some pretty quality stuff. We both received full-size fragrances (Rocawear for him and Beyonce Heat for me), a Carolee gold clutch, and a $25 Belk gift card.

The whole event didn't feel personable to me, even though that was what I had expected. The women who seemed in charge of the whole event even mixed Andre up with the only other black guy there. They didn't even look similar at all, so that was kind of our stopping point. It was pretty insulting.

Once again, I was not happy with the experience, but it was hands-down the best goody bag I've received from any event I've attended thus far. But I swear, I have a terrible experience every time I go to Belk, regardless of the occasion.

Have you had a terrible experience somewhere you expected to have better service? Let me know about it.

xx,
K.
