Saturday, Andre and I had some grown up things to do (like go get my car serviced). My dealership is about 45 from our house, so since we were out and about, we decided to make a trip to a nearby state park, Chattahoochee Bend. We had never been, so we weren't too sure what to expect when we got there, so we ended up driving the far corner of the park, parking, and following signs to an observation tower.
We walked over a river, and through the woods for about a mile. We finally made it to the tower, which was in the middle of a clearing and overlooked the Chattahoochee River. We hung out in the tower for a while. The weather was perfect. We decided next time we'd bring a picnic or something, or maybe even camp overnight in the tower!
We ended up having a lot of fun on our spontaneous hike! What is your favorite park to visit?
