It's February - the month of love!

Who here loves Valentine's Day?

This girl.

Look, I obviously know it's a silly holiday that was made up by card companies to steal our hard-earned money straight from our hands. But who cares?! I love it, because I love love.

Ironically, though, we do not go all out like some couples do. Instead of going out and waiting in a line at a mediocre restaurant for an hour and a half for rushed service, or spending over $100 on a meal, we typically do something a little more low-key.

So for Valentine's, we may cook a nice dinner together at home, or even grab burritos somewhere. We may go out a couple days before or after Valentine's Day - just to dress up and go out. But we don't make a huge deal about it. Being laidback about it - that's something we enjoy. Hubby never gives in to all the hoopla. He says I love all the holidays enough for the both of us.

But anyways, you can catch me in all the pinks and reds this month to celebrate love.

  1. If we went out and spent over $20 on dinner that would be a big splurge for us! :P I like having an excuse to dress up and go out and celebrate all the years we're so thankful we've had together!

    1. I totally get that. And I do enjoy getting to dress up and celebrate. That's the best. I'm usually so basic, so dressing up is so much fun! :D

  2. I feel the same way! It's so much fun to wear all the red and pink, but celebrating casually is more enjoyable.

P.S. You added your link to the wrong link-up, but I will fix it for you. <3

    1. Thanks! You're the best. I was reading through both of your posts at once, and entering the giveaway and I guess I just got it jumbled up.

  3. I loooove the flowers! Truth be told, if there is anything I'm sold about Valentine's Day it's flowers (but I design interiors and events so that surprises no one lol)

    1. I'm such a big fan of flowers. I love to have fresh ones, but truthfully - I buy faux ones a lot so they'll last forever!

  4. Even being single, I still love Valentine's Day. It's just such a fun and colorful holiday and there are so many "versions" to celebrate it - "Singles Valentine's", "Galentines", so many fun ideas! I used to love so much making Valentines with my son to take to school when he was younger.
