A few weekends ago, we were able to go out to a beer release party for a new tangerine ale at Red Hare Brewery (because yeah, apparently that's a thing). I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets off an Instagram giveaway, and honestly I'm so glad. The new beer was a variation of one of Andre's favorite beers, and it's the same brewery that makes this delicious strawberry sour that I love.

It was our first visit to Red Hare, even though we regularly drink the beer and it's a short drive from our house. It was a gorgeous day, and the brewery was pretty badass, complete with life-size Jenga, Connect4, the game where you throw a hoop on a string to a hook on a post, not to mention a ton of other games.

The event was a total party! There were henna tattoo artists, tarot readings, a food truck, a deejay, and even adorable animals to pet (see below - who knew armadillos and porcupines were such adorable friends!).

We both received an awesome pint glass (shaped like a can, with the Tangerine 50/50 can design), three full brews of our choice each (obviously, I was downing those strawberry sours), and a 6-pack to take home. And of course, we grabbed a magnet as a souvenir. 😉

I hope to hit up a few more breweries this spring, once the weather calms the heck down. We've got a few that are fairly local (within an hour or so) - so I'd definitely say we've got some to choose from.

What are your favorite breweries, near or far?
