This week flew by, and a lot happened last week as well, so I've been infinitely busy. Here's a small recap of my past week.

1. My best friend got married. This past Saturday, my oldest friend got married and it was amazing. The celebration was short and sweet and filled with love. I cried, of course. I couldn't be happier for her and I'm so glad she chose me to stand with her throughout it all. She gifted us with beautiful personalized Living Lockets and I couldn't be happier with them. It also got me so excited for my upcoming wedding this fall.

2. I've gotten really into wedding planning. Now that Julie's wedding has passed, I feel it's more appropriate to spend a ton more time of my own wedding. I've been doing lots of research (and by that I mean, lurking on Pinterest for hours!) I've been looking into favors (I've got some awesome ideas), and I'm going to a bridal show with my mom and sister this weekend in Atlanta. Andre's also been pretty excited about it as well!

3. I decorated the hallway at work. With hearts, because I'm so in love because Valentine's Day is coming up. They look so cute! (Much better in person. There's only so much you can do in this lighting.)

4. I got to wear my favorite loafers. It didn't rain for a few days, and spring is drawing near, so I was able to wear my favorite loafers. They're faux suede, so if it's wet out I can't wear them, and they're also a minty color, so they're a great look for spring.

5. I got to enjoy a great coffee date with my mentor at work. We have a new employee mentoring program at work, and since I've been here for two months now, my portion of the program has ended, but I made a great connection, and we ended our mentoring with a coffee date at the Starbucks on campus. I just drink my coffee with skim milk and Sweet-n-Low (no flavors), and it was a nice little break from the office. (Not to mention, my nails matched my cup!)

I hope your week was just as great! Look for an update on this weekend's bridal show, as well as a Save the Date post soon!

  1. I think you could spend hours finding wedding ideas on Pinterest! Growing up I always wanted a fall wedding, but had to be a June bride. Have fun planning!

    1. Oh, yes! It's basically all I do! I'm sure your wedding was still beautiful in the summer. Both of my sister's were married in June, but my birthday is June and I would hate to take away from that. ;)

  2. Sounds like such a full week! Wedding planning is such fun - but I think you're right. You have to get in the mood for it. But when you do, look out! :) Love the decorations in the hallway too. Thanks for linking up with us at H54F! See you next week!!!
