In the South, spring and summer are one in the same. It becomes unbearably hot and humid. This starts around March and lasts generally through October. We basically have two months of fall, a month of winter, a little bit of nice, cool spring, and then BAM- it's summer the rest of the year.

Here are some things to get into this summer (and spring):

Eat popsicles
Eat some barbeque
Grill out
Visit a brewery, or winery
Eat watermelon
Eat something from a food truck
Enjoy some good seafood

Go to the drive-in
Go grape-stomping
Play disc golf
Tye-dye shirts (or anything, really!)
Go fruit picking
Have a bonfire
Watch the sunset (or sunrise)
Stargaze
Participate in a 5k
Play mini golf
Go to the zoo or animal safari
Go fishing
Watch fireworks on the Fourth of July
Have a picnic
Ride bikes
Get a mani/pedi in a fun shade
Read outside and enjoy the weather
Go to a baseball game
Go tubing
Ride a ferris wheel
Get a hair cut and/or new color

Take a hike
Vist the beach
Go camping
Go to a festival (music, food, renaissance, etc.)
Take a weekend trip
Go white-water rafting or canoeing
Go out on a boat
Take a spontaneous road trip

What are you favorite things to do when the weather's warm? Are any of the above on your list?

  1. I'm SO EXCITED for this warm weather up North. We've already grilled out a few times, and it's so good. We have an amusement park right by the lake so we love hitting that up for a few rides and heading to the beach and peninsula. So many great ideas here!

    1. After going to Universal for our honeymoon, who knows if we'll ever go to Six Flags (our closest theme park) ever again! Lol. Universal was too good. And I can't wait to grill out soon.
Thank you. I hope you enjoy YOUR summer. :)
