A Change for Fall (Spoiler: It's a New Haircut!)

It's been about four months since I went blonde, and I've been itching for another change. I've gone a lot of my life with long hair. I chopped it off freshman year of college (a bob), then again in senior year (a pixie). It was finally pretty long again (mid-back), but I was starting to hate it (maybe the blonde and length, I don't know.). It just seemed to be in my way, and I was never doing anything to fix it, or make it look good. So I decided, why not go for the chop again? So I did.

BEFORE
I took in basically my whole Pinterest board (because why not? It's all on my phone!) and showed the stylist what I wanted.

I am really loving the blunt, slightly layered bobs/lobs right now. I told her I wanted it right above my shoulders, but not quite to my chin. I think she heard "chin."

But, I mean, what can I say? I wanted a cheap cut, so I went to Great Clips - who gets it right like 10% of the time. I probably could have gotten a better cut from my sister, but whatever. Let me be clear though, I don't hate my hair. I really do like it. It just isn't really what I asked for. And hey, it'll grow!

AFTER

So, cheers to new haircuts. They really can change how you see yourself, at least for a little while.

Do you change your hair with the seasons? What look are you wanting to go for next?

  1. Looks awesome! Definitely not the length you asked for, but you're right - it'll grow, and it looks great!
