I recently read Ruth Ware's novel In a Dark, Dark Wood and really enjoyed it. I loved the writing style, then mystery, and the ending of the novel. So when I saw she had a new novel out, I knew I had to read it. I started a subscription to the Book of the Month club this past month (you can get 50% off 3 months- 3 months for $22- by clicking here and using code READ50), and luckily The Woman in Cabin 10 was one of the selections I could choose from. Of course I chose it!
The novel is another thriller with a female lead. My favorite thing about these types of books is that you can never figure out if you can actually trust the protagonist or not. It always makes the book more interesting, and I love that I can never figure out who is the "villain." In both of Ware's books, you really don't know how the novel will end until it's over!
(If you loved Gone Girl or the Girl on the Train, this novel is for you!)
Anyways, so this book is about a woman who's flat gets burgled and she's really having some issues with it. What's more is just a few days after the burglary, she has to take a cruise (I know- so terrible, right?) for work. You think this would be great, so she can get away from her flat and relax. Unfortunately, the first night on the cruise she wakes up to loud splash, and see blood on the veranda next to her's. She's concerned and terrified (is there a murderer on the boat?), but no one seems to believe her.
So what happened?
You'll definitely have to read it to find out! I got through this book in only one day. I literally couldn't put it down, and I think you'll love it, too!
Have you read either novel by Ruth Ware? What did you think?
