I am fortunate enough to have a great-cousin who photographs professionally. She's in marketing and it's specific to her job, however, she truly loves to be behind the camera, and was willing to take our engagements pictures (and will be taking our wedding pictures) for free.

Last month, we drove down to see her in Columbus and spent over four hours with her, taking pictures and just enjoying some much needed family time. Last week, I was like a child on Christmas morning when I received our e-sesh disc in the mail. I tore it open and immediately reviewed the pictures she had edited for us. They are gorgeous! I did make the mistake of not discussing with her beforehand any ideas or styles that I was interested in, and some of the pictures are slightly too posed for my liking, however they are still great pictures.

Before the wedding, I would like to sit down with her and go over shots I'm interested in and how I appreciate a more candid photo, but regardless, I'm sure she will turn out some great pictures.

I've chosen my favorite pictures to show you below. I've excluded the photo we've chosen to use in our save the date, because that one is going to be a surprise for everybody.

We're considering a second engagement session in the spring (okay, I'm considering it... Andre hated every minute of taking those pictures.). So we'll see what happens once spring rolls around.

Thanks for taking a look.
