I'm This weekend, we got a chance to mark a few things off the bucket list! Last minute, with no plan, we hopped in the car and headed to North Georgia. We spent a couple of hours at the Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. I expected orchards for apple picking and every apple-flavored treat imaginable. There were tons of vendors, but mostly artsy independent dealers. It was more of an art festival than an apple festival. We did get a really delicious fresh-baked apple dumpling and some boiled peanuts, so that was nice.

After we left the apple festival, we headed down to Jasper to the Yahoo farm, where we got to check out beautiful pumpkins in so many different colors. We didn't actually get to take any home with us, because we ran out of cash (which is all they accepted), but we did take a trip through a corn maze (which was a first for me).

To top it all off, the weather was perfect fall weather. All in all, it was a great day!
