How to Dress Comfy for Work (Spring & Summer)

I don't know about y'all, but when it comes to fashion, my number one priority is comfort. I mean, yes, of course, I still want to be adorable, but if it's not comfortable, I'm just not going to wear it. This works for me in all aspects, whether I'm at home, on a date with the hubby, or at work. Work clothes seem to be the most difficult to dress comfortably in, but I do my darnedest.

I very much plan ahead when it comes to work outfits. As soon as I wash clothes (generally on the weekends), I put them on hangers as outfits, and generally have two to three weeks worth of work outfits pre-picked in my closet. Sometimes I have to rearrange the order, depending on meetings (where I'll dress more professional than an average day at work) or the weather.

More days than not, I wear flats (loafers especially), and I usually drag along a cardigan in case I get chilly (I am lucky to have my own air unit in my office though, to control the temperature).

My closet is a pretty good mix of neutrals and brights/pastels, so dressing for the season is never really difficult for me. Truly though, I do enjoy a fun, bright dress, but I lean towards neutrals a lot, too, because they make me feel more professional.

I'm hoping to possibly make this a series of ootd-type posts, but we'll see where that goes. You'll probably see those loafers a lot, especially this time of the year (the mint is just perfect!). You'll probably also notice this go-to hot weather hairstyle a lot, too.

Dress: Old Navy, similar (unfortunately, not in a bright color).
Cardigan: Cynthia Rowley, similar from TJ Maxx.
Shoes: Target (Merona), same styles on ebay.
