Fitness Review: It Works! Products (Are They Really Worth It?)

I've talked a little recently about my journey to get fit, and I was lucky enough to get to sample for products from the It Works! line. While being thinner can definitely be a perk of getting fit, my ultimate goal is to become healthier, feel healthier, and see better results in my blood sugars and overall control of my diabetes.

I've wanted to try to wrap for a while now, but could never bring myself to pay for it without knowing if I would reap any benefits. To be 100% honest, I wasn't super pleased after one use of the wrap. After having it on for about 10 minutes, it created a tingly feeling, like using Icy-Hot, or Vick's Vapor Rub. I wore the wrap for three hours, and after taking it off, I noticed no difference whatsoever. I took before and after pictures, but I'm not comfortable sharing them. I realized that my stomach, while chubby and bloated, it's chubby and bloated tightly. If that makes any sense, basically I'm saying that there was nothing to tighten using the wrap. This isn't something I would use again, but I've seen some pretty amazing results elsewhere. Needless to say, results vary by individual.

The defining gel claimed to give "new life to old faded tattoos." Well, my tattoos aren't exactly dull or faded, but I thought I would try out the claims. I'm not sure I see a difference, but you can see the before and after below.

I also got to try to greens chewable tablet and the greens-on-the-go drink mixture. The chewable tablet reminded me of a fruit-flavored tootsie roll. I ate it the same day I had a pretty greasy breakfast, but I didn't feel dragged down by the grease I ate.
I drank the greens-on-the-go after lunch, instead of drinking my usual iced coffee. Both the greens-on-the-go and chewable greens gave me energy and made me feel pretty great throughout the day.

I wasn't sure what to expect from any of these products. Of course, I couldn't get the full results expected after only use once, but you can see for yourself some of the results.

I received these products for free for an honest review.

  3. SO I had never heard of this company before, and then a friend of mine hosted one of their parties just last week! I was really surprised by some of the others' results, particularly with the defining gel. I do have some eczema, so I asked if they had anything for that, and they gave me a sample of the gel. Honestly, it has made SUCH a huge difference and I'll definitely be getting the full size! I think it did work on brightening your tattoos a little too, but it does work best after a few uses. Your description of the chewies is spot on!

    1. That's so awesome. I love that you found something that works for you! :) I know Rodan & Fields (a skincare company with the same type of selling as It Works!) has a lot of great stuff for eczema, dry skin, acne, and other skin conditions as well.
And of course, anything like this is not going to have a major effect (generally) after just one use, so I tried to be as open as possible that I only used these products one time!

  4. I admire your willingness to try the products. I've been so turned off by the nonstop stream of direct messages from It Works distributors that I'm not sure if I'll ever be willing to try them.

    1. That's the worst thing about all of these different "companies". I get bombarded about jewelry and makeup and skin products and so on and so forth. It does make me not want to try them. Only if I reach out to some would I want to try them, because I feel harassed. Most of these people don't even talk to me otherwise, so I totally understand your reasoning there!
