I started off 2016 with a list of goals I wanted to achieve for the year. Check below to see those things I accomplished and those I didn't.

For the blog:
Post a video each month (a vlog or a song, etc.). This did not happen. I posted a whopping total of one video this year, and it was a makeup tutorial (which was terrible).Video skills are definitely something I need to work on.
Post at least 10 times on the blog each month.  I can proudly say I did this. I was definitely consistent in posting this year!
Be more active in the blogging community. I worked on being active in the blogging community by engaging with other bloggers via their blog comments and social media. I began working with Social Fabric (Collective Bias). I also updated my blog and created a Facebook page for it.
Update my blog layout. I did this (see above)!

For the life:
Take at least two weekend trips, and one full vacation. We took three trips this year (only one was actually on the weekend). Chattanooga, TN. Helen, GA. Asheville, NC.
Start working on my Master's degree. There were a lot of tears and a lot of breakdowns, but I made it through my first semester with two As and one B.
Read at least one book each month. I definitely got through this. I read over 60 books this year.
Have a date night with hubby at least once a month. Who knows if we actually took 12 dates? I sure as heck don't. But we had fun and had a ton of new experiences this year.
Move into a new home. YES! We did this. I love our new home.
Have a date night/day with girlfriends at least once a month. Did I do this monthly? Again, I'm not sure. We did some 5Ks, we had dinner and movies, we had coffees. I definitely spent more time with girlfriends this year, but I can't truly tell you if it was monthly or not.

So, I'm feeling pretty accomplished. 2016 was definitely a weird one. Not just for me, but for everyone. I made it through the year. I checked some things off my list, and that's really all I can hope for, isn't it?

What was on your goal list for 2016? Did you accomplish your goals? What do you wish you would have got done?

  1. Looks like you were able to accomplish a lot in 2016, congrats! I really like the new design by the way :) I haven't had that many concrete goals, I did set out to read 80 books this year but only read 73 so far so I guess I got close but ended up failing lol.
