My 28th birthday was a couple of weeks ago and hubby took me to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, which was super sweet and we had a great time. We'd never been before, so it was definitely really gorgeous seeing it all for the first time. They have special exhibits and the one that's currently going on is Imaginary Worlds, which included a dragon, a mermaid, a pegasus, and much more.
I'd say the biggest complaint is more so with the summer than with the garden - having a summer birthday can kind of suck in Georgia - the heat is dreadful, and it was in the 90s. We spent a few hours outside walking through gorgeous plant creations, and afterwards we went to 4 Rivers Smokehouse, where I had the most amazing brisket tacos (OMG!).
We're excited to visit again when the weather is a bit cooler, and we're possibly considering taking my mother-in-law in November for her birthday. She gardens and has so much plant and flower knowledge and I think she would absolutely love it! The Atlanta Botanical Garden is located adjacent to the popular Piedmont Park, so a visit to both would make for an amazing day out when the weather is a bit cooler.
