Who knows if I'll ever stop changing my hair every few months, but I have been feeling ultra-glam lately because I can't stop getting compliments on my hair. Seriously, ladies have been showering me with compliments every day I've left my house for the past two weeks.

I went in for a chop recently (the raggedy, faded blue/green is GONE!), then did an at-home hair color using the new Garnier Olia in dark rose quartz. Now the effect is incredibly subtle because my natural color is pretty dark brown (see below for before and afters). But since then I've been getting compliments for both the cut and the color. So I am really feeling this look. Seriously, the reactions are out of this world. I would have loved a more in-your-face rose gold type coloring, but I couldn't totally expect that with how dark my natural color is.

I think my next chop, I may stick with my natural color. It's honestly not so bad, though I do really appreciate the leftover blonde balayage, too. I enjoy my hair being long, but something about the choppy bob has been pretty exhilarating, so I'm super happy with it for now. But will I ever just be thrilled with my hair (especially with how fine and flat it is - thank god for dry shampoo).

PS. The shadow in the after picture makes my hair look pretty funky and splotchy, but it does look so much more seamless IRL.

I've also been continuously using my Formulate shampoo + conditioner set for a few months now and it's really made a difference in my hair. I am seeing a lot more oil buildup quicker with the short cut, so I've got to get through that somehow. But don't forget to enter the giveaway here!

*Thanks to Formulate for providing me with a free customized kit to try and for partnering on this giveaway!
