5 Ways To Spice Things Up In The Kitchen
Sunday, January 26, 2020Whether you’re looking to try a few new recipes or you want to change absolutely everything about the way in which you prepare food, you want to make sure you're doing what makes the most sense for you, your time and budget, and your family. We often like to utilize home delivery meal kits, but they can often get pricey. Luckily, there are lots of different ways to get a little creative in the kitchen! With that in mind, here are just five of the ways to consider spicing things up in the kitchen.
Try At Least One New Recipe A Week
If you’re looking to start small, one of the best things you can do is make sure you’re trying at least one new recipe a week. Once you get into a routine it’s so easy to start making the same meals over and over again, so committing to one new meal a week is a great start. While it will probably be hard at first, you may soon start to feel the excitement of trying something new. If all else fails, at least you'll have tried cooking 52 different meals in a year.
Buy Recipe Books To Inspire You
If you struggle when it comes to coming up with new recipes, why not buy a couple of recipe books that you can keep in your kitchen? They make seem antiquated, but if you’re ever struggling for something to cook you can take a look at some of the recipes people have been making for years. There's lot of celebrity cookbooks that seem really cool (I'd love to get my hands of one of Chrissy Teigen's). Sometimes, it’s the most simple meals that surprise you. This site could be useful if you’re looking to buy recipe books.
Use Pinterest To Discover New Recipes
If you don’t want to use a recipe book, Pinterest is a great place to find new recipes. Whether you’re looking for a classic recipe or want to try something a little different, Pinterest is one of the best places to find inspiration as hundreds to thousands of people share new recipes everyday. If you're in need a good board to start with, this one's basically a guide to using Pinterest for cooking inspiration.
Add A Little Spice (Literally)
One of the easiest ways to spice things up in the kitchen is to literally add a little bit of spice. If you find you’re not seasoning a lot of meals, you'll definitely want to consider how to update your spice cupboard in order to change the way in which you cook. Whether this means buying ghost peppers or stocking up on garlic salt, the more spices and seasonings you have the better. If you're looking for something super spicy, you may want to consider ghost pepper hot sauce to add a kick to most any meal.
Keep A Food Journal Of All The Recipes You Liked
Finally, you may want to think about keeping a food journal of all the recipes you liked, or maybe even creating a Pinterest board. That way, you’ll be able to go back to them in the future!
