I love a good maxi, whether it be a skirt or dress. Once the weather begins to warm up, it is my go to closet staple. I have several maxi skirts and dresses in my closet, ranging from basics to dressy, from solids to prints.

One of my favorite ways to wear a maxi, skirt or dress, is with a loose-fitting, tied up t-shirt. The look is so simple, and so comfortable. It's my go-to for casual Fridays at the office, and the weekends. To keep it simple, I usually pair it with sandals, a high bun and a lipstick-only makeup routine.

Shirt: Kohls (Similar). Maxi Skirt: Kohls (Same style, different color). Sandals: Target (Similar).

Depending on how you style, maxis are also the perfect option for the high volume of summer weddings.

  1. Kayla, I love how you styled your maxi! That tee is too cute with it knotted! Alyssa from Glitter + Ruffles knotted the bottom of her maxi, and it looked cute too. Clearly I need to hop on the knot bandwagon.

    1. I love the look Alyssa had, but I feel like I can pull off the knotted maxi. It was so flipping cute though!
