If you’re someone who especially loves to read, and are looking to make it as much a part of your life as possible as often as possible, then that means you’re probably going to want it to be part of your next vacation too. As it happens, there are many ways you can combine a love of reading with a vacation, and as long as you’re happy to plan ahead and think about this in some detail, you should find it is pretty easy and straightforward. Here are some of the perfect ways to do that.

Go on a book tour

One of the best ways to do this is to actually make reading the central point of the whole vacation by going on a book tour. There are a few ways this can be interpreted. You could focus on going around to many different bookshops and checking out a wide range of them - there are a lot of beautiful and famous bookshops in the world - or you can delve into your favorite worlds by going to something like a bookish world themed park. It’s up to you how you do it, but making books a central part of your vacation in this way can be really exciting.

Go road-tripping

Some modes of travel and forms of transportation are just especially good for reading. If you want to go on a fairly low-key vacation where you can easily read your book, then one of the best ways to do that is by going road tripping and taking your books along with you. If you go with someone else, grab a car locally, and take your favorite current book, you can while away long hours on the road by reading your book. But do make sure you are clued up on what kind of car to get, whether by seeking advice from edmunds or asking around locally for information.

Relaxing beach holidays

Of course, the classic relaxing beach holiday is one of the best possible approaches to this as well, as you’ll find you have plenty of time to simply unwind on the beach and read your book. It’s great if you’re travelling with someone else who is also keen on doing this, so that you’re all happy with that kind of vacation. As long as you are, you might find that this is an especially enjoyable way to go on holiday together - and you can still get plenty of reading done.

Pack a kindle

If you’re an avid reader and you know you are going to get through more than a few books during vacation, then you might want to consider packing a Kindle or another similar ebook reader - I'm an iPad girl because of all the functionality. And although nothing replaces the joy of a real book, a Kindle can be useful in that you don’t have to actually carry out a dozen books in order to read them all. You’ll find this is easier and you have more space for packing other items, which can help to keep the balance between reading and holidaying.

So what about you? How do you enjoy bookish good while vacationing?
